The Library occupies two floors of Haaren Hall. The entrance is on the lower ground floor via the Tenth Avenue entrance (between 58th and 59th St). Take the escalators downstairs, make a U-turn, and enter through the security gates by showing your John Jay ID.
Members of the John Jay community who regularly need to use the library elevator, which navigates between the 10th Avenue entrance and the atrium level, should contact the Office of Accessibility Services and/or Public Safety to have their ID coded for card access. Elevator access between the floors within the Library does not require Library or Public Safety staff intervention. Please visit our Library Accessibility Services page for more information.
