Choose a page (make sure that your post gives the page number) and describe it in general and zoom in and describe the figure of Babur in particular. In your post, discuss why you think that the artist choose this moment to illustrate. What aspects of Babur’s leadership and personality was the artist trying to convey?

2.2 Collegiate Gothic
Many university campuses in the United States are designed in a style known as the “Collegiate Gothic.” Look at some examples here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collegiate_Gothic. When looking at examples, write down your theory on why the architects of these campuses chose a Gothic style. Then read this article: http://www.theatlantic.com/education/archive/2013/09/how-gothic-architecture-took-over-the-american-college-campus/279287/. In your post, briefly summarize the argument of the article – why does the author think Gothic style was really chosen by the designers of these campuses? Now think about the style of John Jay’s New Building. In your post, describe the architectural style of the New Building, and list at least three pros and three cons of having a modern style campus instead of a traditional Collegiate Gothic style campus. Think especially about what values a modern campus reflects.
