Many Kanopy titles are already available to the John Jay community in other databases. Use the OneSearch discovery tool on the library homepage to search for the title you require. Limit the results to “videos” for efficiency.
We will purchase a 12 month license to view a specific Kanopy title if needed by faculty for use in their classes, if we have funds available. Faculty may request Kanopy titles by sending an email to the media librarian Ellen Sexton esexton at jjay.cuny.edu.
New York, Brooklyn & Queens Public Libraries ceased providing access to Kanopy on 1 July, 2019. John Jay curtailed access to Kanopy services in spring 2018, for financial reasons. Here is an overview of Kanopy's business model.
