The Strange (2018) by Jérôme Ruillier: This unusual graphic novel about an undocumented immigrant shows us multiple perspectives of people he encounters in his journey, from his employer to his bus driver. It highlights the vulnerability of being undocumented and questions whose narratives are amplified. 

Exit West (2017) by Mohsin Hamid: This novel follows two people whose lives change when they leave their unnamed home country on a journey through new lands, stepping through some of many mysterious portals that have suddenly appeared all over the world. A meditation on global migration and refugee crises.
