Welcome to the Lloyd Sealy Library subject guide on the neighborhoods of New York City. NYC is a large and extremely diverse metropolis with a massive amount of information available dealing with every aspect of the city. This can make it hard to find information on specific areas of the city that students and others may be interested in discovering. This guide is an introduction to the variety of resources available from the Library.
When using this guide, please keep in mind that not every neighborhood has specific information available on it and in some cases you must find information by being creative. For instance there may not be specific crime statistics for the neighborhood you are researching but instead there is material available about a police precinct that covers a large part of your neighborhood. In that case you would have at least partial information available to use in your research.
