Since the dawn of time, humans have used art to tell stories. In the last twenty five years, a specific form of art-in-book-format has gained mainstream attention: The Graphic Novel. Schools and libraries have discovered a large demand for this material which has a wide range of uses both as entertainment and in a more formal, educational atmosphere. While the Lloyd Sealy Library, being a library that is focused on criminal justice, does not have a particularly large collection of graphic novels, we still understand that graphic novels are a topic that some classes would like to cover and need information on. This Libguide gives an introduction to graphic novels in general and to resources available from the library.
